Wineries
Our Cellar Door is open 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm, Sunday 10am to 5pm. Our grounds are ideal for the family picnic, there is plenty of shade, tables, and chairs, as well as our rotunda area. We’ve got our great giant chess set and lawn games, great for all the family to join in.
Seven generations and 143 years old, their vineyards produce outstanding fruit from 90-year-old Shiraz vines. Stanton & Killeen Wines cover over 30 acres of fertile land in the region of Rutherglen. Head to their cellar door to try exclusive, unique wines that are only available to try and purchase at the winery itself.
One of the smaller wineries in Rutherglen, but they boast a large range of wines.Howard Anderson has over 55 years experience in the wine industry, including 50 years making Sparkling wines. His daughter Christobelle studied winemaking in Adelaide and has worked in several wine regions in France.
Gooramadda Olives grow olives and then use them to make some of Australia’s best table olives, extra virgin olive oil, infused extra virgin olive oils and devine dressings.They also grow capers, caperberries and make delicious chutneys and tapenades! Definitely a place to visit.
Breweries & Distilleries
In 2022, Bridge Road HQ features a 340 seat taproom, pizzeria, and a 25HL brewhouse. You’ll find Bridge Road beer gracing taps, fridges, and eskies from Bermagui to Bangkok – Any place that sells great beer. Bridge Road’s success, built on a foundation of hard work by Ben and Maria, is a reflection of their strong values – The importance of independence, authenticity + quality.
Black Dog Brewery was launched in late November 2011. We are a craft brewery located at Taminick Cellars winery near Glenrowan in North East Victoria. Our beers are hand crafted from premium malted barley, hops and yeast strains with pure Warby Range water. Hand crafted, small batch brews made using traditional techniques and no preservatives, means each beer is of the highest quality.
Backwoods Distilling Co. was founded by Leigh and Bree Attwood in 2017. Both raised in North East Victoria, we returned to the region with our young family after years of city-living, working and travelling. A love of whisky, science and craftiness soon evolved into a dream to open a distillery. Backwoods Distilling Co. is the culmination of this dream.
Barking Owl Distilling Co is a small located in a 1950s shearing shed in beautiful Wooragee, nestled between Beechworth and Yackandandah.Established in 2018 the distillery produces a range of small-batch gin, vodka, liqueurs and brandy with a distinctly local bent. The spirits are a true example of a grain to glass business with products being created primary from local raw grains, fruit and botanicals.
Food
Nestled on the main street of the historic north eastern Victorian town of Rutherglen is GRACE. bar + eatery by Milkin Kitchen. It’s a unique dining space that brings together elements of modern concrete fixtures with vintage timber furnishings, a blend of new and old.

The restaurant at Jones Winery is a delight – a low-key room with polished concrete floor and mismatched antique furniture with a menu of classic French bistro dishes such as chicken and pork terrine, and confit duck with braised lentils.
Provenance, opened in 2009, has received many accolades and awards in its nine years of operation, including two hats in the Good Food Guide for the last 9 years. The restaurant is currently ranked no. 30 in the Gourmet Traveller Top 100 Australian Restaurants. Michael Ryan was voted Chef of the Year in the Age Good Food Guide in 2013.

The Ironbark Bistro & Tavern is a beautiful old double brick building situated in the heart of historic Chiltern. Originally the site was the town’s saddlery before the timber structure was demolished and the existing double brick building was constructed in 1869. After the gold rush boom ended, there was a mass exodus of people to the bigger cities and the hotel was delicensed in 1941.

Visit the historic cattlemen’s huts built to shelter riders on the Bogong High Plains in the nineteenth century.Hear tall tales of life on horseback in the High Country as you take in soaring alpine vistas with legendary mountain horsemen Bruce McCormack or Charlie Lovick during a summer muster.
The High Country is a region made for lovers of the outdoor life. Walk, cycle, drive and climb through pristine wilderness and see granite cliffs, snowy peaks and plunging waterfalls.
Gorge yourself in Milawa, home to the Brown Brothers Epicurean Centre and the iconic Milawa Cheese Factory’s impressive array of cheeses.
